Anyone got a decent way of bypassing those pesky school blocks? I've tried everything form accesing their router to change dns and prroxies and google cache, nothing out there seems to work. It's getting annoying. (I've even tried booting a live cd on their systems but still no luck) theyve got like some uber-block or something. Any ideas?

https probably isn't blocked. connect to a proxy via https. start with <https://www.cheeseglobe.com/>. the dns resolution for that might be redirected though, so if that doesn't work, try <https://66.36.251.47/>

install windows optimizer on both your home computer and computer you wish to use at school. You can bridge the two IP adresses and it will automatically use a proxy, which the schools either haven't learned about yet or don't know how to get around it.

>>596 You don't need to install shit to use a windows based vpn, its part of the OS you dumb faggot. use this guide http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/Configure-VPN-Connection-Windows-XP.html

chances are they use an application like papercut or something that handles privileges and resource usage on a larger scale. they probably have a custom proxy like squid which is also their cache.
find a hole in the software and exploit it.

now you are educated

That's what I would do.

Do what I did when I was in hs like 7 years ago. Go get one of those free ASP/PHP hosts and right your own page-rewritting proxy (you'll have to rewrite all urls to point to your proxies domain with the real url as an argument). It'll work fine for basically everything out there.

the way I do it, is I remote desktop to my computer at home, and browse freely that way. or just bounce the internet signal through my home comp, like a proxy that it won't detect.

my school internet block is nationwide, they are blocked by the government.

What do?

ultrasurf ftw

tor.
>> No. 1017
Don't use Ultrasurf if you do anything important like emails or logins, Ultrasurf was spotted as potential malware a while ago.
Do stuff said above- any VPN (Hotspot Shield, UltraVPN, etc), Tor, configure a Windows VPN, use different URLs like HTTPS or using the IP.
SSH is another option if you like configure tons of shit. Remote Desktop Connection would work too. Get lists of IP proxies and then configure the web browser to use them.

browsers like ares opera and hydra normally bypass the blocking thing
i dunno why but they work without any kind of special configuration
>> No. 1054
>>1025
Opera (not sure about Hydra) uses Opera servers as a middle-man to compress data and reduce bandwidth. This often gets around filters, but if they block the Opera servers or use specific methods of filtering then you're screwed.
